This converter takes BMP images and produces PNG output using in-browser WebAssembly codecs. Batch up to 20 files, tune quality, resize on the fly, and strip metadata for privacy. Your images never leave the tab — no uploads, no accounts, no queue.
Why convert BMP to PNG?
BMP is a Windows-native uncompressed format — a 1920×1080 BMP is ~6 MB, while the same content as PNG is 200 KB–1 MB. Convert BMP → PNG for a ~90% size reduction with zero quality loss (both are lossless), and to unlock browser and cross-platform support.
Quality controls
Three presets — Best (visually lossless), Balanced (default, ~80 quality), and Smallest (aggressive). Advanced panel exposes quality (1–100), effort (0–6 where supported), chroma subsampling, resize, and metadata stripping. Every change previews instantly and shows the before/after size delta so you can dial in your target.
Privacy and batch
Drop up to 20 files at once — each is decoded, converted, and re-encoded sequentially so WebAssembly memory stays bounded on low-end devices. Per-file thumbnails, size deltas, and per-file downloads. Download all (.zip) for a single archive. Every file is processed client-side; nothing appears in a network request.
