The default flow: pick one target format for the whole batch. For mixed output, toggle Per-file target — each row gets its own format dropdown. Useful when your batch has genuinely heterogeneous destinations.

Quality and resize in the same pass

Combine format conversion with quality adjustment (single slider affects all lossy targets) and optional resize (percentage or max longest edge). Doing all three in one pass is faster than chaining tools and preserves the highest possible quality.

Transparency handling

Converting from alpha-supporting formats (PNG, WebP, AVIF) to non-alpha (JPEG) forces a background choice. The tool prompts once and applies to all such files; toggle per-file if some need different backgrounds.

How is this different from the Bulk Image Compressor?+

The Compressor keeps each file's format (JPEG stays JPEG, PNG stays PNG) and just re-encodes for smaller size. The Converter changes formats — that's the primary purpose. Both handle up to 50 files.

Can I convert to SVG?+

Not directly from this tool — vectorization is a specialized operation with different quality tradeoffs. Use PNG-to-SVG or JPG-to-SVG for that path.

What if I drop an SVG source?+

SVGs are rasterized before conversion — the tool uses the source SVG's viewBox size unless you specify a target. For SVG-specific conversions, use the SVG-to-* tools which give you rasterization controls.
