Crop images with a visual selector

Drag the crop rectangle, snap to Instagram square/portrait/landscape, or set an exact size. See the result before downloading.

The Rankato Image Cropper is a visual, in-browser cropping tool for JPEG, PNG, WebP, and other common raster formats. Drop a photo, drag the selector, and download the crop — with pixel-accurate size readouts, snap-to-preset ratios for every social platform, and zoom to align the crop precisely. Everything runs client-side; your image never leaves your browser.

Aspect ratio presets

One-click presets: Instagram 1:1, Instagram portrait 4:5, Instagram Reels 9:16, Twitter 16:9, LinkedIn banner 4:1, Facebook cover 2.63:1, YouTube thumbnail 16:9, and Pinterest 2:3. Or type any custom ratio (e.g., 3:2 for classic photo, 21:9 for cinema). The crop rectangle constrains to the ratio; drag corners to resize, drag center to pan.

Precise pixel control

The size readout shows the current crop in pixels. Type an exact size to snap the rectangle. This matters when the destination platform has a specific requirement (Twitter cards want 1200×675, OpenGraph 1200×630) — you type it, the crop stays that size.

Multiple crops from one source

Need a set of crops for different platforms? The tool lets you save multiple crop presets for the same source. Set up the crop for Instagram square, then switch to 9:16 for a Reel version, and download all crops as a ZIP with named files.

Tool FAQs

Everything you need to know about using Image Cropper.

Can I crop to a non-standard ratio?+

Yes — the custom ratio field accepts any two numbers (e.g., 7:5, 8:3). The crop rectangle constrains to that ratio.

Does cropping degrade quality?+

No — cropping just discards pixels outside the selection. The remaining pixels are byte-identical to the source. If output format is JPEG, there's a re-encoding step (choose a high quality to minimize loss).

Can I straighten a photo before cropping?+

Not in this tool — use the Image Rotator for angle correction first, then crop.
