This converter takes TIFF images and produces JPEG output using in-browser WebAssembly codecs. Batch up to 20 files, tune quality, resize on the fly, and strip metadata for privacy. Your images never leave the tab — no uploads, no accounts, no queue.

Why convert TIFF to JPEG?

For scanned photographs and printed material stored as TIFF, JPEG produces files 10–30× smaller at visually identical quality. This is the right conversion for putting scanned archives online.

Quality controls

Three presets — Best (visually lossless), Balanced (default, ~80 quality), and Smallest (aggressive). Advanced panel exposes quality (1–100), effort (0–6 where supported), chroma subsampling, resize, and metadata stripping. Every change previews instantly and shows the before/after size delta so you can dial in your target.

Privacy and batch

Drop up to 20 files at once — each is decoded, converted, and re-encoded sequentially so WebAssembly memory stays bounded on low-end devices. Per-file thumbnails, size deltas, and per-file downloads. Download all (.zip) for a single archive. Every file is processed client-side; nothing appears in a network request.

Tool FAQs

Everything you need to know about using TIFF to JPG Converter.

Does JPEG really produce smaller files than TIFF?+

For photographic content, yes — typically 25–50% smaller at equivalent visual quality. For content already optimized in TIFF (icons, small graphics), gains may be modest. The tool preserves the original when the encoded result would be larger.

Is transparency preserved?+

Depends on the target format. WebP, PNG, AVIF, and TIFF preserve alpha losslessly. JPEG has no alpha channel — semi-transparent pixels get composited over a background color you choose. The tool warns before flattening.

Does anything leave my browser?+

No. Codecs run as WebAssembly directly in your tab. Open DevTools → Network while dropping files and you'll see zero requests fire. That's why HEIC, unreleased designs, and confidential client work all stay private.
