Extracting pages is a specialized version of splitting: pick specific pages from a source PDF and get a single new PDF containing just those pages, in the order you selected. Great for pulling one contract out of a scanned batch, one chapter out of a book, or specific receipts out of an expense report.
Visual page selector
Click pages in the thumbnail grid to include them in the output. Shift-click for ranges. The output order matches your selection order — click page 5 then page 2 and the extracted PDF will have page 5 first, then page 2. Great for reorganizing while extracting.
Extract vs. delete
This tool keeps the pages you pick. If you want the opposite — remove specific pages and keep the rest — use Delete PDF Pages instead. Both do the same thing conceptually but the UI is optimized for different mental models.
Range shorthand
Beyond visual selection, type ranges in the input field: 1-5, 8, 12-15. Comma-separated. Use even or odd keywords to select all even/odd pages (useful for cleaning up double-sided scans).
