Rankato meters the work that actually costs something to produce. Reading cached results, paginating and filtering are always free; acquiring new data is what counts against your allowance.
Each workspace has a set of monthly allowances determined by its plan. They reset at the start of each month, in UTC.
What consumes allowance# Link to this section
- Crawled pages — each page fetched during a Site Audit.
- Tracked keywords — a standing allowance rather than a monthly burn. One term, in one country, on one device, is one slot.
- SERP checks — each new position collection.
- Keyword acquisition — fetching new keyword data that is not already in the corpus.
- Backlink admission — adding new links into your monitored set.
- URL submissions — each indexing submission.
- AI usage — assistant answers, narratives and AI-generated summaries, metered as a monetary allowance rather than a request count.
What is always free# Link to this section
- Reading, sorting, filtering, and paginating results you already have.
- Re-opening a report or a saved keyword list.
- Viewing history, exports of data already collected, and cached keyword reads.
- Re-checking a backlink you already monitor.
If an action would consume allowance, the interface tells you before you commit to it.
Where to see your usage# Link to this section
Open Billing & Usage. Count-based meters show limit, used and remaining. AI and data usage show a percentage consumed — Rankato deliberately does not expose an internal monetary figure for these. An allowance shown as zero means the feature is disabled on your plan, not that it is unlimited.
